1830s Gigot Sleeve Day Dress - Blue on White Organza

This is another Romantic era dress made from the Truly Victorian pattern. This was my first, actually, which accounts for my poor choice in fabric. I say poor only because I chose a rather heavy organza over white cotton. The double layering made pleating those gigot sleeves damn near impossible. Be forewarned, those gigot sleeves are a LOT of fabric pleated down into a very tight area. Once you add in the netting (which you really do need) it becomes quite at hick mess.

I made the hat using the Lynn McMasters pattern. Wonderful and highly recommended.
