I used Butterick patterns on the whole to make both the skirt and the blouse, though I changes out the sleeves and used a pattern from the Truly Victorian sleeve set pattern (leg-o-mutton).
Because the hem of this skirt is curved and my lace trim was stubbornly straight, I had to hand stitch down all the lace, working with tiny tucks and pulls and make it curve along the hem.
The velvet is heavy cotton velvet, upholstery weight. The blouse is homespun style cotton with wood buttons at the back.
