1870s Winter Parlor Dress - Green Velvet & Plaid

This is without a doubt one of my proudest creations. I made an 1890s dress of the same fabrics, but I don't think it compares to this. I used Truly Victorian patterns, but made alterations to the front and neckline of the bodice, as well as cuffs. The bodice has an under panel of the plaid, giving the illusion that the plaid is one full under dress, with the velvet jacket over it. In fact, the plaid under the velvet tabs is part of the bodice.

The lace is vintage, though I can't be certain on the age. The velvet is cotton, upholstery weight.
