Using Soutache Braid the Awesome Way

I ran across this in the issue of Threads I bought last month. I must admit, I've never given soutache braid a second look. I always dismissed it as being cheesy, like rick-rack, but this period examples shows how it can look pretty amazing. I imagine combining a soutache design with appliques =)

    I've always wanted to do *something* with soutache on a period dress or jacket. This sounds like some great instructions, and I like that it has photos. Thank you for sharing it with us.
