JP Ryan Riding Habit - Green, Altered Lapels

 Pattern: J.P Ryan Riding Habit, altered. 
Fabrics: wool blend serve, linen, silk taffeta. 

Measurements: *made the size 10, unaltered, which came out to the following:
Chest: 35"
Waist: 28.5"
Back Width: 13.5"
Bicep: 13" max
Sleeve (long, outer curve): 24"

RIDING COAT:

Made with dark green wool blend serge, medium weight. The body is fully lined in white linen, with the leading edges of the front opening and skirts are faced in 100% silk taffeta, gold. The lapels, cuffs, and pocket flaps are also lined in the silk taffeta. The skirt back portions are fully lined in the silk taffeta. 

The coat has two pockets on the skirt fronts. The cuffs are "mariner style" cuffs, secured closed. All of the buttonhole work is done in gold metallic and are decorative. The coat features 36 gold metal buttons. 

WAISTCOAT:

Done in the same green wool as the coat, and also lined in white linen with silk taffeta facing the front edges. The back is split open and has hand worked eyelets for spiral lacing. The waist features an optional belt, which attached with buttons on the side-backs. The buttonholes are done in gold metallic and the closure features 11 buttons down the center front. 

PETTICOAT:

Cut in the usual 18th century style, with openings on both sides and separate front and back waistbands. The waistbands have long cotton tape ties to secure around the waist, front and back. The hem is hand stitched.
